Pistonheads News RSS Feed

As per the title, does one exist and I've just not spotted it? Or is there any chance of one? I'm trying to keep up with the news without trawling the forum which inevitably lasts 2 hours

There's an icon to the left of the news pages

e.g.

etc.

Nice one, subscribed , it isn't on the mobile site and I don't use RSS feeds on my desktop.

Dare i suggest Twitter? Get it set up properly, with a decent client or even text alerts...

I'm one of those people who doesn't get twitter. Can you explain what it offers that an RSS feed doesn't? (this is a serious question, I really am interested!)

I've just started using twitter, but for reasons other than reading about people having a ste...

I'm "following" ph, evo, and other similar companies/organisations etc...

Also, the keyword searches are quite handy, for example, searching for oulton as i did yesterday, brought up an interesting video i then put a link to in the motorsport videos thread, which then led to the "why do old saloon racers cock a front wheel when exiting corners" thread...

Pretty useless then, unless you're a bit of geek, like most phers...

I guess it is the searching aspect which is the difference. RSS feeds provide a very quick and easy way of getting a newsfeed from a site you are interested in but you cannot easily jump from that feed to another one you have never seen before.

More and more mobile devices (Android in particular) are coming with Twitter clients built-in too, so you'll have a potentially larger audience. Go for it.

PH does do twitter, it is just me personally who doesn't. And almost every phone has RSS reader as well, not just new ones, so that isn't a deciding factor for me.

Just had a quick Google of RSS vs Twitter...

A lot of for and against arguments for both, so I guess it's down to the individual user...

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but is it possible (yet) to get an RSS feed of recent topics posted on a particular forum (i.e. CG&stuff)?
