Give "Climate" a separate classification

Suggestion to mods:
The "Climate" subject appears to have so many very well contributed-to threads on the NP&E forum that, especially given the length of time it is likely to continue as a subject of debate, it might be an idea to give it it's own sub-section like "watches" and "holidays" and "sports" etc etc.

There are usually half a dozen threads on each page, and quite often no real difference in subject or post content on each thread. I don't know which thread to post in at times, or I could just cut & paste the same reply on all the threads simultaneously, it wouldn't make much difference as most contributions appear to be just that anyway.
If there isn't going to be a sub forum, can we at least close down all the damned duplicate threads saying the same old same old.

Problem is, ‘climategate’ encapsulates today’s News, Politics & Economics perfectly – many believe (as do I), that climate change (man made) has absolutely nothing to do with the environment – it is merely a tool for dodgy dealing and policies, which could have economic and social reverberations for decades (if ever left unchecked..)

How about an auto lookup search feature that actualy works, like ebay when listing a new item for sale? It searches the categories (forums in this case) to see if there are any recent matches, and then suggests which category it recomends to put it in?
If this was possible, not only would it make it easier to find things but would be less work for the mods as they wouldn't have to keep moving topics - they would be placed in the right fora to start with. I would imagine this would involve large lists of key words which would act as trigger points to action the move. These key words could be listed as suitable topics within the FAQ drop down of each forum, so users could view the categories on each forum and find it easier to find.
Did that make any sense at all?

The problem with trying to rigidly categorise is (mostly) not lack of understanding of what goes where, instead it stems from where two categories have an overlap in subject. For example where does a thread commenting on a TV program about planes go?
The ideal solution is to drop the "A thread exists with a single forum" model and instead allow a single thread to exist in several forums at the same time.
Unfortunately the way our database is currently set up will not allow us to do this at the moment, but it is firmly embedded in the ideas list for if/when PH gets a major revamp.
