Wiki topic

Is there something up with wikis?
In the thread: click, i made an addition as is shown in the history but it has since disappeared. This version - it was MS Security Essentials, last line in the Anti-Virus section.

I'd be surprised, nay disappointed if 4wd deleted it so I'm guessing it got in a tangle and 'forgot' my entry.

I'd guess you were both editing it at the same time, hence his version overwrote yours. Are you alright to re-do it?

I've just been putting a load of stuff on there that I've collected over the year....

But I did nothing with the Security section.... Honest Guv....

I did wonder who the hell decided to start updating it as I was!!!


ETA - for some reason, I've never been able to view the 'History' of any of the Wiki's....

I always get the 'Ooops - Something's not right, Moderators have been alerted.' warning....

When I first tried to edit it I was given the warning someone else is editing it so wait. Which I did. Which is why I was surprised when it appeared not to lock for my edit.
I'll add it again later.

It locks it for a maximum of 5 mins, to stop people taking control of a wiki for a massive length of time. If one of you takes longer than that then you can still end up with overlaps.

Ahh - that'll have been my fault....

I had about a dozen to put on.... (and the phone rang) although I was submitting after every three or four and then going back into it...

Nevermind, all sorted now!


ETA - It wasn't me that put yours back on... but I'll take the credit if nobody else claims it....
