Problem on front page?

Morning guys

My usual Firefox 3.6 wouldn't load PH this morning. When I hit the URL, the content shows for a split second and then the window is blank. Refreshed, cleared browser cache etc, no change.

In IE7 it works OK but I notice a little "Error on page":

I am having the same problems with my Firefox 3.6. Shows it ok then goes to a blank loading screen. I am now using IE8 and have noticed the site is different, perhaps it hasn't been updated for Firefox or something (I am not much of a techie)?

That script seems to be the problem, i disabled that in Adblock and its working fine for me now. Stupid ads!!!

I have just added a new filter to GlimmerBlocker to block *.revsci.net. PH seems to be working again now.

Same for me here too, won't work in Mozilla but will in IE8, it goes straight through to some stupid ad that won't load anyway.

It was the same script causing mine to fail. Didn't get as far as trying to block it though. You guys should test things before embedding them.

Works for me too, thanks - added a block on *.revsci.net to Adblock Plus and Firefox 3.5.8 now loads the front page fine.

+1 to adblock plus and noscripts - something called haymarket.com is not allowed to run

allowed haymarket to run scripts and it went into a loop that never loaded

there is the answer, block haymarkets

Downloaded AdBlock plus, but not sure how to individually block ads. Hope the PH guys can fix this, we shouldnt really having to be changing settings and things to view the site like normal.

It looks different in IE because IE is rubbish and doesn't adhere to standards properly. Its useless.

I also blocked yieldmanager.com which tracks your cookies...

It all started this morning for me, ABP on it's own (which was already intalled) isn't enough, have just installed noscript and we're back and running again

FF 3.6

ETA : Actually ABP might be enough, but it didn't automatically stop this..

PH Towers how long to fix? Im not downloading adblock etc - my computer works fine as it is.

You may well need to Google/other search engine "revsci opera" to stop it... I don't have Opera installed, but guess there "must" be a way of blocking certain cookies or scripts within the browser, you need to do this.

It's not just PH, it does however seem to be a Haymarket "thing"...
