Splitting AMG in the classifieds?

For me PH classifieds are better than autotrader, or any other car advertising place nowadays.
Unless you want to buy or sell an AMG Merc of course
You have to trawl through dozens and dozens of cars you aren't interested in to find the ones you are.
Any particular reason you haven't split them like you have BMW M cars?
Is that something that is planned?

There are only ~170 in there (compared nearly 450 M3s) so it's not really reached the point were we would look at splitting it. Have you tried using the "Filter" tab?

THat said- I still have a point. By your argument why bother splitting Chevrolet (150 total), Fiat (similar numbers), Kit Cars (same again) etc to name a couple of sections?

You probably assume that AMG is a sub-section to Merc, buts its not really. A C63 for example is a completely different car to a CL63 for example and would be attracting a different buyer.

ANd if I have browsed classified 1000 times and not noticed the filter tab- I cant be the only one surely?

Vauxhall Astra VXR seems to have it's own section but not Corsa VXR, for example

AMG is a bit of an unusual one, it was created before it was owned by Mercedes (like how we have Alpina and AC Schnitzer categories) but obviously the company itself has now changed and grown significantly.

If we decide to split it then it is quite a tricky job, the shear number of different AMG models makes it unrealistic to create a separate category for each of them, but equally we don't want to lose them in the main model sections. We'll take your comments on board and have a think about what would be the best option.
