Another forum I use (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/) has a panel on the right hand side which gives you links to where people have quoted you in a thread.

It's very useful and encourages discussion. I expect a lot of people post here and then forget about it and never go back to the thread to see if anyone has replied. I think the implementation of something like this would push your pageviews up.

If you click "What's new" then "My stuff" you get a list of topics which you have contributed to which have been active. I use the 7 day version of that as my home page, and look at them first before going on to Gassing Station.

I agree this would be a useful feature. Even if you use the 'Contributions' bit, there can often be a thread that has moved on by lots of pages since you last posted on it.

I agree this would be a useful feature. Even if you use the 'Contributions' bit, there can often be a thread that has moved on by lots of pages since you last posted on it.

Which is why there's the 'new posts' icon - which .... wait for it ..... takes you to the beginning of the new posts on the thread since you've last read it

As others have said, the "My Stuff" button does a similar job without cluttering up the screen.

It takes a slight chance to your browsing patterns, but once you have got used to it it works very well.
