No response when emailing PistonHeads advertisers..Help!

Hi Guys, I've registered here primarily to find out if one has to be a member in order to respond to PistonHeads Adverts.
I am interested in a BMW 5 Series (E34) that I saw advertised here, but despite emailing my interest twice over the past week, I've had no acknowledgement.
Is that because I was not "Registered" with "PistonHeads" at the time?
Or just that the ad was placed by a time waster?

No, there's no phone number.
The total lack of any response just made me wonder if my mail was getting through since I wasn't a member then!
Kinda glad I registered, it's an interesting site!
I might try sending him a PM if he doesn't reply after the bank holiday.

Just noticed my advert had the worng e-mail address up, it hasn't used the e-mail address I created my classified account with, but the very old one I used when I first created my basic pistonheads account. Maybe that's what's happened here? Did you send the message via pistonheads form or a spererate e-mail client? Do that latter and see if you get a bounce back (or if you want to pretend to be a hacker check out the guys mx record) if you do the supplied address is wrong.

1) A "Contact" link which took me to his profile page.(couldn't use it as I wan't a member)
2) "Click here to Email" link, which took me to a pistonheads email form.That's what I've been using.
I still can't send him a PM, 'cos pistonheads doesn't allow it for the first day or so.

Ya lost me with this!

Thought it might be a method of harvesting email addys and phone No's for future spamming, or am I just paranoid! lol.
Having trawled through 100 pages of the "Members List" (for some reason a direct search for the name didn't work!)I eventually found an entry, so I'll try a PM on Tuesday and see if I can coax him to talk to me!

Oops, yes. Do apologise. I thought you could see their e-mail address, you can't. I could only see mine cos I was looking at my own advert.I had two options from the advert:

I've just checked and both your emails were sent correctly, although there is no way for me to check if they have been received.
Having looked at your emails though, the comments on the end about "Not posted my Phone No. because of the fraud warnings, will wait to receive your mail." do sound a little suspicious, which might put sellers off dealing with you.
Either way, if the seller is not responding there is not a lot we can do except suggest you keep looking and hope he gets back to you.

As I say, it may just be my paranoia showing regarding Phone No's, I tend to adopt the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" policy! lol
Now that I've been a member for a couple of days, I;ll try to raise him via the "email me " link on his profile and hope that will illicit a response.
