Wanted Ads in For Sale Section

Hi,

Whats the rules with regards to wanted ads and posting them?

I'd like to post a wanted ad in the classifieds as I'm after a particular (rare) car and have refrained from putting one in the general for sale section.

However, there is trade seller who continually puts wanted ads in the for sale section. If this is allowed, then it'll be a free for all and will detract from the Classified, not to mention irritating.

Having nothing better to do with my time, I have flagged them to admin but they just re-appear hours later. Do the culprits actually get spoken to or does the ad just get removed?

Otherwise, the classifieds are pretty good from both a buyers and seller perspective, well done.

Which dealer is it and what is the category in question?

The ads will normally just be removed, but if they are persisting in re-adding them then we will have words.

Wanted ads are not allowed in the for sale sections except in the rare case that a "Wanted" section does not exist for that make.

Same dealer has started with this again - 'report' function isnt working on the classifieds at the mo.

...and what is it with people putting values of £1,000,000,000s in order to get their wanted ad to the top of the list?

Digging up an old thread.....I forgot that I posted this a while back, but having reported half a dozen or more ads recently, none of which have been removed, can you tell me if this functionality isnt working?

As and FYI, I'm keeping an eye out for a rare car and when I see a new advert has been posted, its very frustrating to see time and time again, its the same dealer adding a 'wanted' ad in the for sale section.
