Strange problem encountered with PH

Hi, as per the title.
I load the front page, click 'forums' and the forum appears, then it disappears! the title is there, but none of the threads, so at first I clicked back and re-loaded the page once more and the same thing happens, the threads arrive on the screen and then they go! So I have pressed 'reload this page' and it gets me back, 50% of the time, so to get here ]posting this topic] I have had to 'reload this page at each step 3/4 times at each 'stage'.
I am running Google Chrome and again I accept that the most likely cause is my own ineptness and less likely to be anything on the site, either way, any help out there for an Internet dodderer?
Started at about 8pm this evening.
No other websites do this.

Is it still doing it, or was it a temporary thing? It has been very bad this morning, I have had to press the reload/refresh/F5 perhaps as many as 10 times to get the page to stay, sorry.
Have blocked the adverts in Google chrome and that has made no difference and then switched them back on and again no difference.
If it is no-one else then it must be my computer and will have one of my sons check it out, don't put yourself out at the moment as I don't know enough to distinguish the cause.
Sorry to be a nuisance.

No adverts at all but Chrome isn't on block!
I think by my rather weak process of elimination that it must be a fault with my Google Chrome and I called my son and he says I should re-install it, so before going down a dead-end at your end I'll try that and report back.

Right... switched from igoogle back to 'vanilla' google and it was worse, even the front page appeared then disappeared repeatedly, switched to Internet Explorer and the same again but with a sort of flashing subliminal type of momentarily glimpses of the page, couldn't get to 'forum' as the front page just did the strobe effect!
Back in vanilla google to get to this page after 7 refreshes.
The reply to topic page [where I'm typing this] doesn't do the disappearing trick, nor does the return to subject page.
I will set up another 'user' on my computer and reload google from the start under that user ID and see if it is the installation.
Have run all the virusy stuff I have including updates and nothing comes back as iffy.

Ignore the doesn't happen this page thing, it just did and re-posted the same message [hence this edit] it appears I have an 'echo' on my internet connection and that is causing the problem at this end.
I'll send a message to my ISP and go from there, odd that it happens only on this site but there you go, so do nothing and I'll dissemble my connection and start from the very basics and see if that cures the problem.

This may be of interest to members!
Security Master AV is linked to an ADOBE AIR update [which I accepted at 18.55hrs yesterday], it is a virus programme that somehow usurps your existing AV programmes with itself.
The result is that you are left with a serious problem like mine, at the moment there appears to be no way of re-asserting my normal AV programmes as the Security Master programme that now says its my AV won't let me!!!
Even downloading MBAM can't shift this problem and the SMAV has disabled the disable AV sequence in my XP programme.
Seems to be a new wrinkle in the virus attack from SMAV.
Even revising the hosts file fails to remove the little blighter.
[Does anyone have an address for this bunch of jokers? As I think I will take the time to visit them and reveal just how unhappy I am.
