PH, this seems to be happening on a regular basis. I know you say that the company that provide the ads aren't *supposed* to allow ads with sound, but as they seem to consistently fail to adhere to your marketing brief I would suggest you change companies.
There are frequent threads with people complaining about adverts that make noise and it's clearly pissing people off.

I am now obliged to do a 'milkybar run' at work to satisfy the banter of my team, who at 9.14 this morning discovered through my laptop that I was not their boss, but was in fact the Milkybar kid. Doh!
I appreciate the need for business advertising, and i'm not that concerned (a little bit of banter helps the office morale)...but it is now starting to grate, been on every thread i've clicked on so far....
Please help, i'm a simple soul and if someone tells me something incessantly, I fear I may end up believing them....

If I get sacked because of that stupid advert, I assume I'm guaranteed a job at PH? ;-)
Our IT dept governs what applications we can and cannot have installed on our work machines, and as such we cannot install Firefox. It isn't 'approved' don't you know. Therefore I can't use adblock.
Its not as if we don't know what we're doing or anything, we're only computer engineers FFS!!
