Classifieds not displaying in Google Chrome?

On Google chrome, I find that when I click on an individual advert in a list, it opens the ad for a fraction of a second and then jumps immediately to that dealer's stock page.

known Fault? If so, apologies.

Not something we've seen before, can you link to an advert which is doing it?

Sorry, now at work, so I don't have Chrome here.

However, it was doing it on all adverts.

So I was looking at Aston Martin DBSs. So I'd clicked Classifieds, DBS to bring up a list. When I click on any of the advert links form that list, the advert would appear for a millisecond and then move to a page which appeared to be about the dealer's other stock. Pressing back just repeats.

Chrome on XP.

It's not doing it here, and there is nothing in the code that would do that. Is it possible that you were accidentally clicking the "stock list" link next to "Full Details"

I'm on a dev build of Chrome and I can't replicate that error no matter what I do...

That link isn't working for me (probably the company firewall).

Do you have any extensions installed on Chrome which is causing this, as like Plotloss I am on a dev build of Chrome and can't see a problem either?

No add-ins that I know of. IIRC it is a clean install.

Definitely some extensions there. I don't know what they are but the two icons to the right of the address bar aren't standard.

Just because they're there doesn't mean they're the cause of your problem though. Maybe just a red herring.

Right click on one of the blank PH pages and choose 'View page source'. If there are lines and lines of code then it'll mean the page is downloading, but something is stopping it from displaying properly. If it's mainly blank, or just a few lines it means PH is being blocked in some way.

Ah. I seem to have an ad blocker extension called "Ad Sweep" which was doing it - disabling Ad Sweep allows the ad to display.

Well, I suppose it was blocking adverts!

No worries though, and glad you got it sorted.
