I mean the "Google Search" box on the PH search page. It uses Google to search just the PistonHeads forums and gives better results than the old search ever managed.As I said, try it.

No, but it's better than the old PH search. It covers the current day and things older than 6 months for starters. It's also fast, normally accurate and can even be targeted to a specific forum using the tip in the sticky at the top of Website Feedback.What are it's failings in your eyes?

As I've said already, it is only a stopgap, but it's definitely better than the PH Search was. In it's final days the PH search was only able to look at topics between about 6 months old and 24 hours old, which was far from ideal when we have data going back nearly 10 years and people shouting "Repost" on popular topics of the day.
It is firmly on the dev list though and should be back (in greatly improved form) in the near future.
