Surely these are scams????

Why is that ALL adverts that seem to good to be true, normally are.
Surely the clue is in the advert of each of these that have appeard over night by saying "please email me directly at ************ because emails through PH will go to my spam folder & deleted"

Really? Surely if you are selling a car you would make sure that any inquires didn't go into you're "spam" folder wouldn't you?

There's been a thread about this before, the consensus is they ARE scams.

Note that all the email addresses are <female name><2 digit number>@hotmail.com

PH should take them down.

I know this has been mentioned before but doesn't hurt to point out a few more to the mods.

Perhaps this could become a "sticky" & anyone finding such adverts could put them on here to warn others?

They should be taken down now.

Note that you'll still see the ads by clicking the links above ..... but browsing through the classifieds as normal, they should not be seen

Is it not possible with the ads to set up a filter that puts a manual intervention check in place whenever someone submits an ad with an email address in?

So many of them recently.... do they use scammed credit cards?

Unfortunately, they were all scams and have been removed from the site.

If you ever see an advert that’s suspicious please hit the ‘report to admin’ button on the top right of the advert, this will send it straight to a moderator who will take appropriate action.

Just found 3 more adverts with exactly the same wording regarding contact details etc.

Nice cars but way to cheap hence the report button hit!
