Why keep closing threads ?

Sometimes people don't heed the warnings given earlier in the thread, and it's a lot of effort to keep monitoring busy threads to keep them on track. Sadly the few spoil it for everyone else.Urban Sports said:

It was as above - warnings about posting photos of scantily clad women were given, they weren't heeded and this results in the thread getting closed. Nothing to do with rubbing anything up the wrong way. We've said before that "phwoar" threads aren't welcome here. This one had run its course, so we closed it. We just don't want this sort of thread here - there are plenty of places on the internet where you can discuss which minor celebrity you fancy, but this isn't one of them.

It took you 3,112 posts to figure that out? No offence but I could see the way it was going after the first page. Following the logic you posted above as a "phwoar" thread then shouldn't it have been closed much sooner?PH isn't moderated very consistently right now IMO.

This is what I'm on about. Deleted rather than just locked. A locked thread serves as a warning to others. A deleted is thread is almost instantly forgotten.And if a user can't think for themself that a locked thread is NSFW, then they probably aren't bright enough to be allowed near a toothbrush, let alone a keyboard.
