Wondering if it would be possible for the BMW 1 Series to be divided into E81 E82 etc in the same way that the 3 Series and 5 Series have been done?

When the second generation 1-Series is launched it will be split, but we do not split it down by body style for any models at the moment, and do not intend to at any point in the near future.
