Split the Nuclear debate and story out of teh japan thread

Would it be possible to split the nuclear debate and chatter out of the Japan earthquake thread? I suspect given the strength of feeling over nuclear people may end up bhing and fighting on a thread that is possibly not the idea venue for it.

We don't really have a way of forking threads like that, but if it starts to get out of hand then hit the report button and one of the mods will take appropriate action.
