Ted I'm having problems with the main Gassing Station page. The screen refreshes about every half second, making it almost impossible to select a forum.
Am using XP workstation on network at work - IE6.

Cheers,
Andy

Weird one. Someone else reported something similar on the whats new page earlier in the week.

I'm a bit baffled.

It's not happening to everyone so it's difficult to guess what might be causign it.

I'm now getting this on the Whats New page, but only if it is resized.

For example with my browser full screen, if I pull up a 'Favorites' pane causing a resize then the What's New page continuously refreshes (about once a second).

The boring bits: XP Pro, IE 6.0.somethingorother with SP1.

Edited to add: the resize thing could be a red herring - bringing up an alternate pane that resizes the main window doesn't have the same effect (bit Favourites does). Curiouser and curiouser....

I've had this below a couple of times when clicking on the Back button on my browser (Mozilla Firefox 0.8).

I can't recreate this one. Could be something to do with the menu software, because that reloads the page whenever you resize the window.

Although the menu system isn't shown on the front page so...

That's something to do with Firefox and the pages being set up not to be cached.

I wonder if it's the news ticker. That's common to both pages and refreshes frequently...

That could be it, have just had a play and it only happens when the width of the PH window is less than the scroll-up news ticker

That'll teach me to read PH Gassing on the sly when I should be working

Yep I agree, that seems to be the cause.

I've also been having the problem where the Gassing Station Home keeps refreshing and I'm sure that it's got nothing to do with what you mentioned above becasue it happens as soon as I go on-I'm a bit puzzled because it has only started to happen over the last two days...

Yep, managed to reproduce that one.

Does anyone use that ticker?

Yes I do.

I normally go straight to what's new and then if I see a headline of intrest I'll go to the front page.
