"Mobile Broadband Users" topic

Whenever I click this from my "My Topics" page I get a "Oops! This page appears to be broken!" (but it's trying to load My Topics again rather than the Mobile Broadband Users topic.

EFA: getting the same with this thread! Something to do with the words in the title?

Yes, it's very odd. If you drop the text "broadband users" from the URL it works fine.

Actually a bit more digging and it seems to be the text "and users" when put in the URL causes the page not to load.

Some kind of protection against SQL injection I would guess.

Extremely odd, I'm not aware of anything in the code which could cause that so I'm going to have to add it to the bugs list and do some investigating.

I use Firefox 3.6.16

Just tried in IE and it works OK.

I've just managed to get in here again but had to change the address, I'm on Firefox 4.0

I think when I replied earlier I was at University on IE 7 or 8 with no problems getting in.

The way I get in is from Website Feedback. DOesn't work from My Stuff though.

Same problem here as NiceCupofTea, Doesn't work from My Stuff or Return to Topic after posting.

I think it's related to the "nmt" Parameter. From "What's new" it appears as "Mobile%20Broadband%20Users"%20topic , whereas in Website Feedback it appears as "Mobile+Broadband+Users"+topic.


And it's just done the %20 trick in "Return to Topic" too as well as "My Stuff".

It is related to it, but the &nmt parameter is only there for SEO and human readability reasons; it is not processed at all at this end so it is odd that it is affecting anything.

A little more testing - if it says "Users" or "User" in the string it fails - but if it just contains "Use" then it seems to work...curious...

I've fixed it, there was some code looking for "and user" and redirecting to the error page.

It isn't processed, but there was a bit of code I didn't know about which was looking at the entire URL, nmt included!
