Guys- was wondering if you could give me some quick advice on insurance?

Looking to insure my Diablo and have had a quote for my father and myself of £900 to add it to our classic fleet policy. Both of us are relatively standard risks (ie he has a minor prang and an SP30 and I have an older SP50 - that's motorway speeding - and a CU80 - using a phone, I was stationary before anyone has a go at me!!). I'm 33 and he is 62

Car is garaged etc

This seem fair or are there any companies that ofer spectacular deals?

Not overly frightened by the sum but thought it was worth asking!

I'm 38 and pay £400 for mine on classic insurance, but I have 3000 mile year limit, I choose that as I doubt I'll ever do that at the moment. I'm Fully comp on a guaranteed value of the car.

I also have a fleet car policy, and could have run the Diablo on there for about £500 with no mileage limitations, however there wouldn't be a guaranteed price payout for the car, if something happened.

I pay something like 600 on a classic policy with an agreed value. I'm not sure that is the way to go at the moment though, with values fluctuating so much. My agreed valuation figure is looking a little low now, despite renewing in April.

I insure on a private client policy for a number of cars with Lockton's (can seriously recommend them). I quoted the SE30 separately with Footman James and that came in at £700 on an agreed valuation of £138,500. Only quoted with them so didn't really get a sense of how competitive they were, but was recommended by LCUK. Unfortunately Lockton's write single premium cover so I can't break out what they are covering the SE30 at.
