Seeing as the Orange Murcie SG54 is near completion a ground up restoration of the 49,000 mile LP640 has just started in the 6th Gear workshops. New paint/gearbox/V12 rebuild/new interior in Alcantara and anything else that's needed to get it up to 'as new' again. I reckon it deserves it after 9 years of the great British public driving it on the track..
Once finished it's going back on the road. I'll keep you posted if anyone's interested

Good stuff, love your 640 (and obviously your orange 6.2). Best wheels, manual gearbox, and the yellow interior really stood out.

Will the LP640 be kept in service on the track after the rebuild?

Enjoying watching this, (and the Orange rebuild)! Also great to meet you at Castle Combe when you arrived the night before your event while I was at a charity track day in the 340R! As I said the you gave me the courage with the man maths to buy my murci! Keep up the hard work! Gareth

Was talking to a friend today about my little track experience in the wet at Blyton a couple of years ago...in a certain white murci... and he pointed me in the direction of this thread!

I'm SO pleased to see it's now getting the love and attention it needs! Big fan.
