So it's been well over an year since i've had my Lp560.I'm happy to be part of the Lambo family and really enjoying driving the car. Can't believe i was actually considering an F430 over the Lp560.Much better design on the lambo and doesn't feel that outdated..except for the insidesmile
I've had an Maserati Granturismo before and the running cost of the Lp560 are a bit higher but i was expecting that!
Now there's something in my head that keeps telling me to get a v12 so i was looking into Aventador territory. My absolute dream would be a Murcie but i'm afraid i can't afford the running cost of that beast!
I'm looking for some answers from owners that have gone from Gallardo to Aventador or anyone owning an Aventador!
How much more expensive is to run an Aventador?
Should you go for a facelift Aventador and is 2013 the year of facelift?
What is different on the facelift than 2012 models?
Would you be ok with early cars like 2012?And if not why?

I need to sell my car first in order to get an Aventador but can 200k get you in a facelift Aventador?

Costs roughly 2 to 3 times what a lp560 costs to run for everything

I,ve not had a gallardo , but have had a 355.

The V12 Lambos are a treat , and sadly therefore had to give up my beloved 355 , one of the pre airbag 2.7 s.

Why are you discounting the Murcie ?

Older technology certainly , but you could argue all the better for it .
Talking of the Lambo family , as you did in your opening paragraph , you get the Bizzarrini derived engine and the spaceframe technology which are quintessential parts of the Lambo heritage , now lost forever.

Are Aventadors really that much cheaper to run than Murcie’s ?

I have a 2003 6.2.

I don’t find it overly expensive.

I service it myself, changed coils etc.

Yes the clutch is expensive but I can’t see the aventador being cheaper. Egear appears to be tricky and expensive.

Some parts are Audi, but not as many as with the later cars.

Body panels are a fortune but they will be on any Lamborghini.

I think that finding a Murcie in top condition will be quite a challenge and probably not going to be cheap!
From what i've heard on meetings the facelift aventador is a solid car and many of the previous issues have been sorted out.But i'm not sure what are the previous issues?!
At the same money i would want an aventador rather than a murcie.Just a personal taste

I have no significant experience of the Aventador , but you are absolutely correct in going with what your heart tells you to do ..... this is a totally discretionary and luxury purchase , and only you know what will pull the correct heart strings

Best of luck
