I'm looking for a Diablo and my current thinking is an early 2WD. I like the idea of 2WD .. weight and driver experience. Also the purity of the early ones.
What do others think?
I agree with this and would advise some circuit time to get comfortable with its 2WD dynamic in a safe environment. What do others think?
If it's pure theatre you're after the SV still draws crowds like a UFO

Thanks Ferruccio .. that was my thinking too
The problem is that I can't seem to find any for sale!
For a good one how much do you think I should pay?
No idea. I don’t sell my cars, so I don’t keep track. The problem is that I can't seem to find any for sale!

Looking at auction results gives some real data.
Simon Furlonger love Diablos. Might be worth a chat with them.
Key is condition. You can get big bills.
Get it checked out by someone sensible like Dave at Lamborghini Pangbourne.
Not many cars for sale at the moment and generally ever!
Mike Pullen is a good shout as he has seen pretty much all UK Diablo's at some stage. I can speak to Alan Robb for you who is the Chairman of the Lambo Owners club and a friend, he knows where most of the cars are.
That car has been for sale for a while and the MOT history needs establishing for one year.
These are great great cars, they need to be driven and not put on a pedestal as a garage queen. IMO of course.

Alan is a great guy, and that Mini is outrageously quick Mike Pullen is a good shout as he has seen pretty much all UK Diablo's at some stage. I can speak to Alan Robb for you who is the Chairman of the Lambo Owners club and a friend, he knows where most of the cars are.

Trying to work out the colour Ferruccio , Is that your car or one for sale,
Lively thread considering it's just been posted,
Obviously lots of interest in Diablo's,
Would love a GT, perhaps i'll give Mr Forstner or Mr Miles a call but better sit down first.
Good question. My car. Had it coming on for 25 years now.Lively thread considering it's just been posted,

It’s a unique factory colour, done for the 1992 Motor Show.
It’s a sparkly red. Looks great in the sun.
The factory wanted to try it but, as it needed extra paint layers, decided that it would be too expensive.
When I needed the paintwork touched up, in true Lamborghini style, Polo Storico just had it down as “red”.
Bob turns up at events in his GT. It always smells like a proper race car. At the end of the day he’s a car dealer, so may well be open to offers.
