Anyone know somewhere in Merseyside where I can get a puncture repaired on my 12C??

Been to one garage and they didn't want to do the work as they were worried about damaging the wheel and also the tyre pressure sensors that are in the tyre

You need a new tyre, anyone worth their salt will tell you the same, puncture repairs not advisable on cars that can generate so much load / heat in their tyres.

I'd have thought McLaren Manchester would arrange it's recovery for you. 01565 632222.

Try another tyre specialist.
Regardless of the wheel being off a Mclaren, at the end of the day its just a wheel and tyre that any competent tyre dealer should be able to repair for you.

I would think twice about repairing a tyre on such a fast car imo

i thought twice too, did a little research, spoke to pirelli, and have now happily done several thousand miles on two repaired tyres

I was always a bit iffy about getting a tyre repaired until someone who knew what they were talking about, and had an interest in selling me a new tyre, got me to repair my punctured motorbike tyre.

And on a bike, your tyres matter even more than on a car!

I had a puncture at Spa in my 993RS. Had puncture repaired and then did a another full-on day at Spa and then 2 at the Nurburgring. No problems....

Thanks, managed to get Event Tyres booked in and they assure me they can (a) lift the car (b) repair the puncture and (c) will bring a spare tyre in case they can't - great service from them as always

At first I thought that a repair may be an issue if I was using my car on track, but for everyday normal driving couldn't see it being an issue. Apparently puncture repairs are only guaranteed upto 160mph!!!!

If puncture repairs weren't recommended then there is now way, in today's claim culture, that these companies would be repairing tyres.

I wonder if they'll be able to repair it or if you'll be lucky they brought the spare along smile
