Hi. I recently got a 650S spider which I'm rather enjoying to say the least 🙂

One thing that I find utterly confusing is how to lock the doors keylessly (ok that's not a real word but...).

Keys in my pocket, I place my palm up, about an inch from the underside of the door where the open button is and move it slowly from the air intake to past the door button. This works about one time in ten. Sometimes it simply doesn't work at all and I give up looking like A weirdo stroking the door, admit defeat, and use the key.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a technique that works better?

Don't mess about sliding your fingers. Just touch the area to the left of the door button, past the actual door above the side intake.

As said to open slide fingers from front to rear on door section only.
To lock slide fingers towards you on section just past door.
will have to try just touching ..... didn't know that.

Come on RL!
You spend 23 hours a day thinking about this car and you've been locking it and unlocking it with the fob this whole time!

I tried messing about with the fob the other day, I was hoping that holding down the lock might put the roof up or close the windows but it doesn't. If you double click unlock it unlatches both the doors which seems a bit pointless, although there may be a setting where you can change that to just the drivers door.

Do you know the trick with holding in the left paddle when stationary to put the car in neutral?

Cant believe you are suggesting I sleep for an hour, outrageous.
God damn it these cars are so complicated. If I double click the fob the drivers door opens and if I hold it down for 2 seconds the passenger door opens but never both which I would find helpful when escorting a new lady friend lol, - Save me coming around and opening the door for them. They just think I'm a real gent

Yeah ok on neutral and vehicle lift shortcuts

Instead of going through the whole menu screen just hold the computer lever up for 2 seconds to start select up/down with another press upwards

Is this just a 650 trick or does it work on the 12C?

The locking section behind the door was the original downfall of the swipe to open on the !2C. Unless you knew about it, owners would swipe too far thus locking the door again ;-) I always felt "swipe" was the wrong term, "Stroke" would have been more appropriate ;-)
