In 2012 you could have had a 12C Coupe for £180k on the road with similar spec (minus the sports exhaust). And economists are complaining for lack of inflation....

Enjoy!

Enjoy smile And pics when it arrives please. Love the look of the 570S but I'd struggle to look past a 650S with 4 figure mileage on the clock at the same price point. Did you try a used 650S or have you always had your heart set on the 570S?

Thanks for the comments gents, yes I did look long & hard at the 650s but at the end of the day I just prefer the looks of the 570s, it looks so good, if they had spent some time on the rear of the 650s when they did the 12c face lift I may have been tempted.

The car will spend 90% of its time on rural Dorset roads, if you look on a map of Dorset you will see very few dual carriageways and no motorways, so 570ps is more than enough for my needs smile

Congrats. 570GT on the way for me in July. Like you, i much prefer the looks, over the 650 (although I know "they all look the same...").

Better looks, better to drive it seems ( feel wise ) and easier to get into than a 2nd hand 650S

How much were the floor mats?

PS You don't have to make geographical excuses for lack of straightline grunt v the 650S, that's rather traction limited and so the 570 is just as quick up to about the legal limit x 2.0

No outside Carbon, just debating is it worth upgrading to the McLaren 8 speaker system for another £1600 ?

100% agree with you here. The 650S seems like a halfway house styling wise. The 570S moves the game properly on.

Agree that I can't ever imagine needing more than 562bhp on the roads around Dorset. Enjoy!

According to Autocar's road-tests, the 0-170mph time for 650s spider and 570s is identical at 20.3s.... so there actually isnt any straight-line penalty to pay !

570S offers a compelling package at the price point.
