Been to see a lovely 12 c this afternoon.
Question regarding garage size. I have a slightly wider than a single garage. From wal to wall the width is 106 inches or 2692mm.
It it possible to park the car and open the drivers door to get out.

Thanks

Darren

From the manual

Car width with two doors open 3120mm
Car width with doors closed 2093mm
Each door is 513mm by my reckoning, so 2606mm with just the one open.

If you cover the wall with something soft you'll be able to get out with the door 3/4 open and 'resting' against the wall.

There are over 260 UK owners in the Facebook McLaren Owners UK group, so probably 1 or 2 in your neck of the woods depending on where in the country you are(?)

If you pm me your details & location I'll see if someone local might be willing to pop over in their car and 'try it for size', everyone's amazingly friendly in the group - by far and away the most social owner's group I've been part of!

You need about 20 inches from the edge of the car so by my reckoning you need to park 6 inches to the left of the centre line to be able to get out

Only way to really tell is to put an example of that car in the garage.
Sometimes you get a positive suprise and sometimes a negative one!

Wow Dave that is tight. Think my garage is a bit wider than yours.

Where there is a will there is a way !

You forgot to mention that the car comes with a standard tin opener to get out

The main issue is the door width which is usually 7 ft - previous threads have suggested this should be ok for a 12c but last month's discussion both confirmed and disputed that a 570 (which seems to be a little wider) would fit

I think in these circumstances the main issue the OP has is the size of his belly.
This may be a problem smile
edit to add, I don't know the OP, it's just a problem I have nowadays that I wouldn't have had in my thinner youth wink

I'm sure it will work Darren based on your how far you can open your lovely GT3 door.

You know a 12c is the right next car for you! However there is no going back after the mixture of all the great things that the McLaren offers.
