Surprising sale!

Must say i'm very surprised to see Andy74b's P1 GTR up for sale:

I guess he's got either a Senna, Valkyrie or Project One coming but the P1 is such a perfect pair with his F1 GTR, seems very odd to sell it.

He has a valkyrie on the way and he's always said he loves the F1 way more than the P1 and if he's got the choice of one or the other he'll always drive the F1..
They do look amazing together though
Ah okay. It's easy to assume there's a bottomless pot of money but even those with mega money need to release funds to buy a £3m car like the Valkyrie They do look amazing together though

still the quickest road legal ring car! wonder how this next wave will perform
Incorrect - the P1 GTR 'only' has the 3.8L engine; the Ring Lap Time holder P1LM has the 4.0L and has 40% extra down force [Have you seen that wing!!] and made-for-it Pirelli tyresI bet the P1GTR could still set a sub 7 minute lap though
Looks amazing in the pics but I've never really seen the point of these road converted race cars.
You just end up with a very compromised road car and a race car that's not quite as good on track as it was originally.
Not something you could take on a trip around Europe without a lot of support either.
I know Andy isn't exactly spoilt for choice about which cars to drive but just 850 miles on this would seem to show its little more than a show car.

The surprise for me is that it's only done 850 miles - what's the point?
When it costs you £10k a mile or some nonsense (probably) even the richest blokes would think twice about every single one I guess. He doesn't seem to mind doing some miles in his F1, where exactly the same argument applies.
Up to Andy of course but I expected the car to have done some miles and not be a garage queen. Maybe it actually is horrid to drive on the road?

Hardly just a show car. I would love to do more miles in all my cars but working in London during the week and busy family life with 3 kids simply means do not have the time. Between my cars I still manage decent mileage and I think anyone that knows me knows that all my cars get used. You just end up with a very compromised road car and a race car that's not quite as good on track as it was originally.
