Bucket seats 650 spider
Discussion
does anyone have definitive data as to how much more head room one gets in a 650 spider (lid up)
with manual buckets over the standard sport seat.
I find ,the rear bulkhead a limiting factor. if the recline is right the seat is too close. and conversely if the distance correct from wheel and pedals then seat too upright as the rear bulk preventing sufficent recline.
guess need to find a car to try! any ideas??
cheers

I'm 6' 2" and have bucket seats in my 650 Spider.
There's plenty of available headroom, I can try to measure it at the weekend if it would help? I would like to have the seat moved to the rearmost position, but then it rubs on the rear bulkhead, so I put it one notch forward. That still gives me plenty of legroom.
I think the rake as it is now is perfect. I wouldn't want it any more upright, but I'm guessing it's going to be a very personal thing.
The one thing about the bucket seats is that entry and exit is probably a little less dignified than it is with the normal seats!
