At last bought a 570S !

Would like to know though if car should have a Lithium Ion battery charger as previous owner who had purchased from main dealer did not receive one .

In addition should there be 2 Tracker fobs or were those only supplied if McLaren Tracker installed as an extra from new

Also has Track Pack with Telemetry but couldn’t find how or where you get the data from it on to a smartphone

Any assistance greatly appreciated

Good man smile
You won’t regret it.

Unless you plan to use the car regularly, I’d get a battery charger as the car doesn’t last too long if its stood - maybe 1 month? Then the electrical gremlins creep in if the battery goes low so a charger is really recommended.

There should also be two tracker fobs with the car I think.

My 570 Spider came with Branded Charger / Car Cover & two fobs for the factory installed Vodaphone tracker.

Congrats on the purchase. Such a well thought out stunning drivers car, I'm sure you will enjoy her massively!

The charger is made by Ctek - buy one from them for half the price. Lithium Ion version, not std lead acid.

I'm insured with Admiral, they don't need a tracker. Might be an option for you. Trackers are the biggest PITA know to man anyway, when they work.

Ah ok I assumed they all came with a charger.

To be honest they really should do as more than three or four weeks parked up could leave you in mild peril.

Definately get a charger, and use it when the car isn't in use for a week or so.

Oh and welcome to the fold! What spec have you gone for?

Welcome!

Never seen the battery go below 100% (650s), but then I pop in on the charger after my weekend run. Its a habit for me for all the cars.

Appreciate all comments and will invest in a charger as a matter of urgency. Seem to be priced around the £100 mark.

I have a Track Pack version with all the Track Telemetry but without any cameras. Still need to sort out how you can download the information from Iris to a smartphone or laptop should I wish to do some timing

I thought the track telemetry included the 3 extra cameras rather than just being the software. That was a camera on the nose, one in the ceiling and one at the rear. Never knew they did it separately.

Talking of cameras, any photos?

Not yet,

Cameras were optional as some owners wanted the Track Pack because of the spec but didn’t want to track Car or record their shenanigans. The cameras are not as good a quality as Go Pro in any event and pretty expensive as a dash cam

You can get the software from here :

https://cars.mclaren.com/ownership/track-telemetry

the owners group has the instructions posted up, not sure where else you can get them.

Hope this helps!

There are actually 2 options (why they don't come together, I have no idea). My Track Pack 570 has telemetry, but no cameras. They were an additional $2500USD.

So have you used the Track Telemetry yet ?

I assume in order to save/download the data from the Iris system even without cameras you just pop a usb in the MTT port and then transfer the data onto a laptop that has the Track Telemetry app installed or am I missing something.
