Anything I should know before I make the call? 720S
Discussion
It seems to be a rather decent spec. Two weeks ago, I purchased a MY 2018 on a 67 plate with 1500 miles on the clock for much less than what Hello Luxury are advertising the black one for. HOWEVER, the spec is higher than mine, so I would say it more than compensates for the difference in age and mileage (there’s little difference in it anyway).
I’ve had a bit of a lesson on the shortcomings of the 720s with various niggly issues which really shouldn’t be there in the first place. The issues have left a slightly bitter taste (only slightly) to the experience, but the performance, and from-a-different-planet styling is way off the Richter scale – I soon forgive the issues. I have a snagging list which McBristol will sort out for me.
The Corsa’s may mean it has been tracked? I may be wrong, but I didn’t think the 720 came with Corsa’s as standard? Get them to lift it for you to look underneath for any signs of damage caused by hard driving. Also open the doors and check the underside which will become visible when raised. Mine was as clean as a whistle with no scratches and/or gauges caused by grounding etc.
I reckon you could possibly get between £5K and 10K discount off it.

Beautiful spec. Would recommend buying from a McLaren dealer though, so you're taken care of end-to-end and the door isn't left open for interpretation should a number of things go wrong with the car. That's personal advice, however.
Be warned, however, if you were to proceed with this purchase, the 720S will rewrite your expectations of what a car is.. And, well.. Physics too. It can be so bloody annoying when s
t breaks, but by god, when you pin the f
ker on an open road, it warps your mind so much that it deletes those memories.
Make sure you get a car with a sport exhaust (unless you're planning on changing it out for something from the fine folks over at Larini), the gorilla glass uppers, and the Bowers and Wilkins upgraded stereo. Again, spec is wildly personal, but I found myself missing these items.
It's a buyers market so you won't struggle with finding something that matches that description. Good luck!

It's an amazing spec car that would have listed at circa £280k new however, it has been sat at this dealer for months and has already dropped £30k in price.
I would imagine it's at the point where the dealer has no margin left so would be reluctant to drop further however, they may just want it off there books so will cut you a deal.
I'd guess the trade bid (if you can even get one) would be around £150k on this car.

Spot on. A friend in the trade said exactly that and did add as you did that he doubted he would even get a bid.I would imagine it's at the point where the dealer has no margin left so would be reluctant to drop further however, they may just want it off there books so will cut you a deal.

The dealer is offering a decent 'PX' price for the car I would trade in but compared to what I think I could sell that car for privately (no big hassle) it still means this car would stand me at £185K in real terms, its a lot of car and if I did not have other motors I would most likely buy it but the idea of swallowing an easy £30K hit in 6 months is not appealing, so i will be sad, sit on the fence a while longer and allow the dealers to suffer some more..

Good luck on your quest.
You are a long time dead...............I had the same reservations before I bought mine but I’m glad I did, 12 months in and not one problem, I know this isn’t the norm but it’s also done a 3k mile Euro trip without problems.
The big problem is in the future, what do you change a 720 for !
