Having picked up my 570GT today (what a fab day), I've been trawling the manual to find out how to change settings as needed...I want to disable the keyless entry but can't find the info ...is it even possible to switch off keyless entry ?

I'll post pics as soon as get a chance but looks like dodgy weather this weekend so it may have to wait a few days

Congrats!

I assume this is to prevent illegal entry. Certainly no option to do this on the previous gen OS in the 650s, like there is on my Tesla. Not sure if this helps you, but keep in mind the key needs to be in the car to start it, and seems very sensitive. Not sure if a signal booster in the car would allow the car to be started.

Yes you are correct...I had the signal boost issue in my head when I was thinking about this but given the sensitivity of the car to having the key inside, I don't think it is a realistic issue.

Sun is finally out today so I'm off for a quick drive...sorry work, you are going to have to wait type

Proper colour! Get some pics up smile

Being honest, you'll be lucky enough if the doors open with the key in your pocket, never mind someone trying to boost a signal without a key hehe

BTW, McLaren are providing FOC faraday bags through the dealer network. I was given two a few weeks ago.

There's a story on BBC News today about this. It is a bit concerning - will keep my keys in a metal box I think!
