I've been in to see it twice and made an offer (though not accepted)
Nice colour combo, looks to be basically sound, PPF'd, got corrosion on NSF wing (which I checked with MCL to make certain can be fixed foc)
Methinks it's well worth the asking .... but you've gotta be prepared to get the bodywork fixed and wait whilst it gets done.
Get it bought and send it to be fixed in October I'd say.

Those comparing to a GT4 have missed the point.
The 540C is cheap for a reason. Because it will get much cheaper and continue depreciating a s
tload.
Whereas the GT4 won't.
I think if there's someone not getting the point, you are.The 540C is cheap for a reason. Because it will get much cheaper and continue depreciating a s

Here people appreciate car capabilities, technical spec and experience on the road, not investments.
And for that money, it's a lot of a car. Obliterates GT4 night and day.

It's around the corner from me. Recently reduced from £85k to £83k.
I think the it's the colour of the interior that is putting people off.
Ooh, I bet the seller's regretting that as an option, nothing wrong per se, but I think it needs a bolder exterior colour to go with itI think the it's the colour of the interior that is putting people off.

I genuinely couldn’t care less this is on another planet performance wise to a GT4, I’m for driving cars not worrying how much they might depreciate byThe 540C is cheap for a reason. Because it will get much cheaper and continue depreciating a s

First of all, 18k is low mileage for a diesel 5 Series but is that low for a super car?
Second, I LOVE that interior! That’s probably the best colour combination! Why do us brits love black and red leather only. When I was looking for my previous BMW, none of them had the mocha interior I was after, nobody specced it! Just black and red with the odd white leather

If its got 18k miles its been used and any issues should of raised their heads and been rectified...Second, I LOVE that interior! That’s probably the best colour combination! I think that’s a stunning car and could be a right bargain.
I’m not saying these cars are about what people think but that’s a 300k car to anyone who doesn’t know about cars. Even a petrolhead would guess 150 minimum, the only reason I know they’re cheap is because of the endless threads discussing the deprecation and values

What does any of that have to do with how the 540C drives, performance, speed etc..? Such a weird comment to make. GT4's are already dropping now and will only continue to fall, e.g. trade bids in the high 50's, so you comment makes no sense. The 540C is cheap for a reason. But back on point to the post, that is cracking value for an awesome car and would be a great buy for someone

You are clearly failing to grasp the point.
I have a 570S amongst a few other nice cars.
Yes it's fast. But uninvolving.
You talk about car capabilities. It is because the GT4 is so capable and involving as a drivers car that it retains its value. And the 540C doesn't.
Is that so hard to understand?

I know someone who bought a brand new 488 Spider in March ‘19. I was speaking to a colleague who tried guessing the price. Her guess was £50k. Unsurprisingly, she’s not a car person...The amount of McLaren you can get for say up to £120k is phenomenal. 18 plate cars that look like supercars should with the performance to match. I would find it v hard choosing between them if I had that sort of budget, but the brand is absolutely where my money would be going. £80k is an absolute bargain for a car of that ilk.
