Looks amazing (to be expected).

4 exhaust pipes super aggressive aero.

Public unveiling soon >> https://cars.mclaren.com/en/mclaren-motor-show-202...

I'm a bit of a mclaren fan boy but even im not struck by its looks. Im sure its an amazing drive but visually i'd rather have a 600lt or 720s.

On first glance I see no difference to the design apart from the 4 exhausts. I would probably go for a 720s still.

Expect McLaren will pull the same trick as last time and announce an additional 765 x 765LT spiders in the not too distant future.

Will have to be brave and/or have deep pockets to stomach the eye watering depreciation. Believe this makes the 675LT coupe/spider the current pick of the bunch.

Not a fan of the quad exhausts especially in one cluster...720S or 600LT around £150k makes more sense hopefully 675LT values will come lower again on the back of the release.

Be interesting if anyone knows if they swapped out the turbos for something different to 720s. Also anything different on the cooling side to 720s i.e. intercoolers etc?

Looks wise neither pretty but prefer the the 720s. Can't wait to see what these will do on track though. Perhaps the ultimate pre hybrid and only 165 cars is that right? Ring record?!

Nardo Orange and Tokyo Cyan are the 2 new colours.

The launch car is nardo.

Is there anything new there??

Whilst I'm sure it will obliterate the competition, lap records and be lapped up by the journalists.....none of that is new, most McLarens seem to come out as best in class. You don't even need to read the blurb to know it will be lighter, faster, rawer and the best thing since slice bread.

But looking at this 765LT, it all looks so predictable to me.........front bumper side aero wings, front wing lourves, a very expensive roof scoop and some extreme looking rear bumper aero.......all seen before.........

What happens next is the dealers tell everyone they aren't worthy to buy one to whip up demand, early buyers get told it will arrive in April, car arrives in September......they trade for overs for about a week, then dozens appear on the market, mcLaren offer discounts to shift the rest of the cars, cutting the throats of the early adopters.......values fall through the floor.......this isn't new, look at the 600LT for reference.

And then they announce the 765LT Spider.

Just leaves me feeling underwhelmed, rather than looking to see which kid I can sell to get one.............

Yawn. Manufacturers need a new formula.

there is something new here, and its a big one - the gearbox ratios. It has a much shorter final drive, and so all previous gears are shorter. More mechanical torque in gear, and changing gears more often. This should make the car far more enjoyable on the road than most of these supercars where the top end of 2nd is already jail territory!

Good - the 720 is nowhere near quick enough and there's not enough new McLarens about...

I'm not at all sure that will necessarily be a good thing. Mclaren cars as a while do not lack for power and if anything are definitely cars that would do with adding grip rather than power. Shorter ratios mean the 765 is going to be putting down even more power at the wheels over and above the 45PS increase. On a car with a relatively small tyre (mechanical grip) footprint.....

I honestly don't think I can think of a single person who stepped out of a 720 thinking - this car needs more power.

After the price crash on the 720s/600lt/anymclaren anyone buying a new one of these needs their head examining. I like the look of it but would rather wait a few years to pick it up for “peanuts” (relevant to new price)!
