Think that is just the lighting or angle to be fair. Looks pretty good in the video to me!

If you honestly think painting over a headlamp rubber like that (very unevenly too as clearly evidenced by the enlarged photo lol) is in any way acceptable and the sign of a good paint job on any car never mind a premium one this says more about you than me chap. hehe

It would be unacceptable to most folks on a £4k Fiesta.

It's the light! Watch the video. If it really is as bad as your screenshot I'm sure John would've seen it!!

You've got to be trolling. There's no way you're that stubborn/idiotic.

Edited to add - I own a 12C, there is no rubber there. av185's comment was so daft I forgot the design of my own car rolleyes

Mention a Porsche 911 and he'll wet himself with over exuberance of how fantastic they are and always will be but mention a McLaren and out come the knives.

It would have been better to watch the video properly before jumping here.

Plus, rubbers? Really? Lol.

I have seen people comment on grainy pics of paint many times on the web.

I posted a pic of a fresh respray on my Cagiva motorbike and some numpty said it had terrible orange peel....it was a fairly low res pic taken from a distance and the painter is more fussy that a bride on her wedding day...there was zero orange peel.

It's been quite some time since AV185 ventured into the McLaren section to take a dig.
