570 windscreen crack

Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone has experience of changing a windscreen on a 570?

I have a small crack at the bottom but guess it will grow. Is it simply a case of phoning insurance (it does have cover) and they will fit it on the drive at home, or does it have to be fitted by McLaren if it's a difficult job?

My friend had one done on his 650S and from memory the screen was purchased from McLaren but fitted by a local screen fitter. As I remember the front clam needed to be partially stripped for access....

Had the screen replaced on my 570s. I let my dealer sort it out, Admiral insurance, absolutely no problem.

My 720s screen was replaced by Mclaren FOC

as they said there were faults within the build

Straight forward job £25 on insurance excess and no issue with NCB via autoglass, just check its OEM although I think its impossible/ very hard to get a patent part anyway.

Screen prices are ridiculous, x 10 your mainstream car costs

My 720 had 3! Mclaren were always great & never argued, bloody annoying tho!
