I'm looking at changing from an AM to a 600LT or 570S. Why do nearly new McLaren's seem to have had so many owners?

Made a similar switch myself. V different brands but both with appeal. I think a lot of people want to scratch the McLaren itch and then move on but that’s the case with a lot of supercars tbh. A yr and then something new is how alot of people approach these cars.

Now that's interesting. Where did you get 5 owners from re the TH car?. I can't find that info and i really want to know that about any car I look at.

Looking forwards to the annual "mind if I change my car I drive hardly never, love" ;-)

True. But the dihedral doors might be difficult to explain.

To be fair, that is another issue. The cills are so chunky getting in and out elegantly may be a discussion point! The current Mrs Highside goes in the AM so infrequently I may just tell her it’s a single seater.

Any known reason why the TH Napier LT has been forsale for a while? Other than it’s probably overpriced.

It's also possible that potential buyers may have read some reviews about that particular dealer and decided to shop elsewhere.

I've been trying to get a handle on prices and on face value it appeared to be about £10k higher than others of similar spec and age.

I know the previous owner, he didn’t have it long and if you look through the photos they were actually taken in May. Think he owned it May to July, roughly. It’s only had 2 owners I think.

It was originally up for £165k or £170k I think, still too high for my liking when you compare it to other spiders.

There is an old myth that it is to do with plate changes, but this is not true. More likely to do with buying via a company or moving between husband and wife etc. We bought an MR2 off a mate who'd owned it from new, except we were the 4th keeper as he bought it via his company, then it went to his wife, then back to him.

There are plenty of car check companies who will provide owner history for a small fee.
