Did anyone else see the red McLaren F1 travelling North on the M1 on Tuesday morning around 7:30am? Couldn’t believe my eyes, what a treat to see one on the road. Anyone know who it belongs to? Thought it might have been Andy74b but it didn’t have the Lark livery, plus I think he’s sold his and it wasn’t a GTR. Thought it could have been Gordon Murray heading somewhere maybe!

yes

A pic of that car at the SCD meet has just been posted on the McLaren Owners Club, so that seems to be the case.

Love that number plate - did an MOT history check to see if BOO 11 was genuine - somebody might want to tell the owner the MOT expired in August last year.... Still very cool though

It also lost a few recorded KMs between 2019 and '21

The dots on the plate spoil it for me 11 !!

It might have arrived by trailer .

Was it a sort of shake-down for Goodwood for the racing cars as well as a track day for exotica or were they just on display ?

Quite a variety of things going on. There was a shootout to set the fastest lap but unfortunately it was very wet in the afternoon. Then there were sessions for Hypercars, Ignition GP demos for the historic F1 cars, touring cars, endurance, etc. A parade of about 20 Carrera GTs and a grid walk with hypercars from all eras. McLaren were a sponsor, Praga and McMurtry had their cars on display. Various dealers had cars for sale. Some of the cars will be at Goodwood.

I went to Goodwood yesterday. Not sure where I was but a village near goodwood I saw a small showroom with a silver F1 in. It had goodwood stickers on the windows. I nearly crashed my car!

When I got to Goodwood I saw the uneo clinic f1 gtr, lark gtr and the “sqiggles” long tail gtr. Then stumbled across F1 joy just parked in the car park! (As well as a yellow Enzo abs Zonda!)

The guy that owns Harry Metcalfs old Zonda C12 had his new Huayra BC with him as well, both on display I believe, plus his Bugatti Divo.
