It's a pretty useless article tbh though, which is frustrating as it could be an interesting topic.

For example, the Artura is ranked two places below the 570S. Is it less exciting to drive? Doesn't the hybrid make for better throttle response? Does it have less steering feedback? Or are they just accounting for the factor of two in current prices? Or the looks?

The 540C is ranked a long way below the 570S - I understand there are chassis differences, it would be good to hear what difference they make on the road.

A ranking that stripped out the Ultimate Series and compared the driving experience offered by the remaining "mainstream" McLarens would be interesting.

This old evo piece, comparing selected pairs of cars, offers a lot more insight

Its just an opinion of a journo on where he sees the line up, its very clear from all the threads on here we all have different opinions on where we as individuals/owners rank the line up. Theres nothing more to be read from this as Thorneys evaluation.

Indeed. Most journos are not performance drivers anyway, and they rarely spend enough time with a car for a proper evaluation. If you are serious about driving - form your own opinion.

Besides, use cases are different as well. Is your Mac a daily driver or for track use? I’d have a hard time ranking my own garage because it all depends on the use case.

What did Chris Harris say about the 675LT :

" It's a mini P1 without the electrics and more fun "

That's good enough for me to rank it Number Uno.

Iconic limited car, massively undervalued for what it is and a future classic

I think this a more informed comparison from someone who has driven many of them and knows them inside out, rather than some journo's chosen copy and paste remarks made by others.

yikes 100 for 600 LT

Yeah 675 turning circle isn't great but in reality I don't spend all my time doing 3 point turns.
Suspension is sublime on all road surfaces IMHO

John was running a modded 720S spider at the time so maybe a little bias

What complete Garbage.

A Journalists opinion who is likely to have never owned or lived with a McLaren daily.

P1 I do agree with as No1, an Iconic car, all the others are out of order !

It’s a highly subjective list so take with a pinch of salt …there’s not a bad option among them in reality lottery win a P1 for me, my current 600 Spider really is fantastic and incredible value for money around the £150k mark.

It was just a list of Mclarens cars wasn't it?

Personally I think the GT is criminally underrated.
