TI have done a group test of the three LTs on Welsh mountain roads in Spider form, with Frankel finding the 675LT his favourite, shading the newer 765LT, with the 600LT coming in third.

He prefers the 'Super Series' cars for their ProActive suspension, basically because it lets you keep driving really hard on bumpy roads while maintaining calm precision.

While recognising that the 765LT is naturally more capable than the original car, he prefers the 675 as it gives a greater sense of 'oneness' vs the more overpowering capability of the 765.

And obviously he's clear that they are all three great cars, with the gaps between them only really discernable by driving them back to back.

Apologies for linking a paywalled site, but I thought it worth sharing a credible independent opinion on a much-discussed matter wink .

Very well articulated article. Mr Frankel put into words very well the different strengths and characters of each car, better than I could.

I think a lot of how the cars feel is down to the 675LT chief test driver being Chris Goodwin and the 765LT, Kenny Brack. They are very different drivers and their preferences and driving styles are embedded in the DNA of each car.

My favourite quote:-

"The 675LT's freakish ability to to apparently resurface the road milliseconds before you arrive is notable only by its absence in the 600LT"
