Anyone know this car or dealer? https://www.phantommotorcompany.co.uk/mclaren-570s...

I think the car is on the high side price wise. My main niggle is it's had only 4 services, albeit all at Mclaren so been serviced on mileage rather than time.

Don't know it or the company, but I'd be reluctant to buy a car that's missed 50% of its services.

I think the percentage of McLarens that need a service every year due to mileage is probably pretty small - but most of us (at least those of us who look after our cars) still get them serviced annually.

Indeed, that's my big concern

No direct experience but they advertise via the medium of derelict truck bodies abandoned in fields next to the motorway.

This makes me greatly enthusiastic about arranging not to meet them.

Yep, sums it up for me. I wasn't sure on them but the car looked nice. They really knew very little about it either when I called and it is top top money.

A car of this value with missing services? There's enough out there to walk I'd say.

I paid 90 for a car a year older and with 22k miles, but a full history and a good spec (identical to that other than yellow and no wing).

I've just spoken to Ascot about their car (though I'm likely going yellow) and was chatting away and before I'd even mentioned it he stated there's one just come on the market to stay clear of, guess which one...

200 miles in last 18 months.

Generally it seems like an opportunity to pay over the odds for a car that, due to its low recent mileage, is likely to be more troublesome than a higher mileage car that's remained in regular use.

Yep - you want a car that’s used rather than garaged and that has a good history at the very minimum. Still a chance there will be issues of course but you can cover the basics.
