Stunning looking car, and it sounds like it lives up to the looks.
Genuinely surprised about a lot of the comments in the PH Review - many people saying it's incredibly ugly. I know the Senna wouldn't win a beauty contest for a lot of people, but this looks amazing - think I even prefer it to the P1.

Maybe it will grow on me, but while admiring the engineering it represents, and for sure it relegates everything to date from other manufacturers obsolete, it has no appeal at all as a sports car.
Ben Collins floated the question, is Artura the best car McLaren have made? and I really wonder if he has a point.
Neat, tidy, clean lines, V6 (inherently balanced) 1400kg dry, 700bhp, Socially acceptable package.......

I've been very disparaging of the looks since they released the images but suddenly seeing it moving on the videos and it looks amazing. OK, probably quite colour sensitive due to all the bare carbon parts but I'm sure MSO will be accommodating.Genuinely surprised about a lot of the comments in the PH Review - many people saying it's incredibly ugly. Better than a P1? Visually a tough act to follow but they've given it a bloody good shot and this sounds like a much better car.

Three months ago Harry had one of the Gordon Murray's GMA T.50's for around a week ... not a dissimilar car I would say. He waxed lyrical, Clarkson could hardly fit in the passenger seat (and did not look well) ... and I thought the car looked hard work to drive for any length time.
In the earlier harry's Video in 2022 when the concept car was shown Harry and Gordon were discussing what a modern supercar would demand ... one of the things mentioned was a great sound system. For a long distance useable sports car / GT the option of relative calm is in my view an ownership necessity. But that is not this car.
On the other hand McLaren offer other options, will a W1 ever see trackdays ? So is it a Sunday Special ? Either way, a wonderful thing but only because there are other options in the range for the "special every day" ... and let's be honest, the older I get the more special every good day becomes !!
