570S front shock
Discussion
Just after some thoughts…
Got my car back from Mac Birmingham about 3 weeks ago and they noted that I had uneven front tyre wear… ok but I wondered why they didn’t check the tracking… anyhow that’s by the by. They recommend I went to a place which had a Hunter alignment machine. I’ve driven 200 miles since the service, most of which is to where I am now in Eastbourne. I’ve just come back from the brilliant Eastbourne tyre services who’ve given me the good news that not are all my wheels out of alignment but that the front n/s shock is leaking. I’m damn sure Mc service will have noted this and the car was under their full warranty but it ran out about 3 days ago because I’m not paying the think end of £4K for the privilege.
I somehow think I’ll be wasting a lot of breath trying to get Mc to take responsibility for any of this unless anyone on here knows otherwise, please let me know.
I live in Norfolk so I’m going to try and get the car into Thorney’s to sort etc.

I agree chances of getting Mclaren to sort are slim. It'd be very hard to prove it was leaking at the time they had it.
You could also try Jack Webb (N Lincs) or RennWorks (Stevenage) if you didn't want to go all the way to Thorney.
A new shock (Assuming you have lift) is about £2400 fitted.

Back home now and thanks for your thoughts, booked in with Thorney`s 12th Oct for new/exchange shock and geo set up which I think will be nearer or less than £2k all-in.
Also discovered passenger footwell getting very wet and after checking and testing it seems it is a blocked HVAC drain which will be sorted aswell. Strange how all this kicked off after its main annual service at Birmingham. The more I think about it I think they saw the shock but McLaren apparently wouldn`t warrant it because it was only damp and not a full leak which is strange given it is an MOT failure! They`ve lost my business which is a shame because I have used them for the last 10 years and they have been good.
