Hi, after 4 years of living the Porsche dream, I came to the conclusion that I needed something more than the 992 Turbo S gives me. A little more theatre and kerb appeal I guess.
So after visiting McLaren Leeds yesterday with two of my sons, and then all of us having our socks blown off when we first clapped eyes on it. But then our test drives just rubber stamped the sale. Easily the best car I’ve ever had the good fortune to be in. It’s just epic !
I know not much of the brand but have watched plenty of YT trying to educate myself.

Th Evening mate. No worries, I know life gets like that some days.

I’ve never really fancied black cars as a rule but when I saw this one in the flesh, my mind was changed.
It’s got all the exterior splitters, diffusers, wing mirrors, side skirts and engine bay covers all in polished carbon.
It also has some additional carbon on the inside over the door cills, with McLaren embossed into them.
It’s also got upgraded light weight wheels, an MSO exhaust system (which just sounds epic !), full climate control and the Bowers and Wilkin sound system as well.
The guy took me for quite possibly the fastest, eye opening test drive I’ve ever experienced before letting me have a go myself.

It does have a few more miles than ideally I’d want but this car will be a keeper for me. It’s just superb.

Hopefully picking it up this weekend. Can’t wait !

Well done, easily one of the best drivers cars I've had or been in. Will @ Leeds mclaren is a decent chap too when service time is due.
There's a 600LT wats app group if you want info ? Are you Northern based ?

Yes, I live in Hessle, right next to the Humber bridge. WhatsApp group sounds handy as I’m a little green when it comes to cars like these.

Luckily you are within sniffing distance of Jack Webb Motorsport and also Leeds mclaren which is handy for you. I've just had my cracked hinges replaced by Leeds under goodwill (paid labour).

Just dropped you an email.

Are you local to the bridge then? I’m often over there heading to Cadwell for trackdays on my bike.

It's a great car, and such an event, congratulations. I do love my Artura Spider but there are times when I miss my 600LT Spider too! Have fun.

I m pretty much based in between Grimsby and Louth. Earlier this year I bought a 650S from a chap in Hull who rides/instructs at Cadwell. You might know him?
There s a McLaren get together at Brigg this coming weekend, organised by Jack Webb Motorsport. They are a good bunch. I can t make it but I m sure you d be very welcome.

Leeds have certainly looked after me very well ... they have two Master Technicians there as well ... the indies of course are keeping the legacy cars going very well, look at how secondhand Mc prices have increased !!

I think it's very positive for mclarens generally (other than buying brand new and taking a hit).
We are fortunate in Yorkshire area to have a good dealer and an indy at last.

Same here in Scotland with McGlasgow which, with McLeeds, is part of the Parks Group.

McGlasgow were great when we visited as part of the official club Highlands tour, also sorted out a spare wheel n tyre for a member who got a bad puncture.

I won’t be using McLaren Leeds again for servicing and thought that Will was pretty useless. I won’t divulge any more on this thread.

Leeds were absolutely horrific for me but if you post anything negative then PH will delete your post. It means that the worst of the worst dealers seem to have nothing but high praise when the truth can be very different.

Congrats on the purchase though, they are truly epic drivers cars. Its just the dealers that are damaging the brand. Ive not heard a bad word said about V Engineering so Id be trying them if I ever bought another Mac, which I wont.
