I applied for membership almost 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing, is there a backlog?

Is it worth joining?

Probably a backlog, yeah three weeks with no reply isn't unusual for clubs like that. Worth a quick nudge email to check.

As for joining: depends what you want out of it. If it's just a badge for the CV, skip it. If there's regular stuff going on you'd actually turn up to, then yes.

I joined in the Summer, my membership details arrived quickly via email but the membership pack took 2 months to come through.

However this was ahead of the Velocity event which members were organising, so to be expected.

A quick chasing email should get you on the forum/Whatsapp groups.

I joined in the summer too and initially, was added to a WhatsApp group but nothing else.

I understand that Jeff has had some issues which meant he has not been able to dedicate as much time to the club.

I am still waiting for a welcome pack.

I joined 4 years ago and wondered if the “welcome pack” was some kind of an in joke for months. Got it eventually and cherish it with an almost feral passion now

I now have 4 identical branded mouse mats, a power bank that can flatten a car battery but not charge a phone, and three McKaren little duffel bag things that make me look well-designed
