Parking Assist in action, with a slight twist. All done on private land with my own cars smile Sorry about the shaky camera & the quiet narration, but you'll get the idea.

Not sure if true or not, but my dealer told me to be careful if the cars marking the space are parked very close to the kerb as the i3 apparently uses them to judge distance from the kerb. So if they are touching the kerb a chance that you will also.

The system was so slow at the whole procedure I too would be shy to sit in the driving sit incase anyone thought it was me that could not park.

I quite like the related feature to follow cars in traffic but park assist would not get used by me.

I've heard that too, but haven't tested it for obvious reasons. Tbh I haven't actually used the park assist in anger, only to show friends. It is quite slow, and I can park reasonably well on my own smile I only got it for the front sensors (it's quite difficult to judge the front end, partly because it's so short and you can't see it.

The active cruise control thing is part of the driving assistant option, a different thing altogether btw.

That's pretty nifty. How good would it be though if you could just pull alongside a space, get out immediately and be about your business while the car just got on with parking and locking itself?

Andy, out of interest, what range do you guestimate you would get if sat at a steady 55, 65 or 75 respectively on the motorway?

Nice, I read that it can do this trick down to a gap just 22" longer than the car. Not sure I'd be happy walking away with my car jammed into a gap that small tho :/

Andy, I read about your software update. Do you think that'll be something they'll do to our cars before we collect them or was it specific to your problem ?
