There new website was supposed to be going live today according to http://www.chargemasterplc.com/index.php/polar_onl...

It isn't - http://www.polarinstant.com/

I am somewhat disappointed with the general information that is available r.e. public charging points.

I've also been having an email dicussion with Derby City Council whose charge points appear on the Chargemaster, Chargenow and Plugged in Midlands maps as public but apparently aren't...

looks like we were had buying the charge now card for £20.

Two easy steps on the go

Download the free app from the App Store or Google Play. Follow the simple instructions and register and set up your account. You will need to put a credit on your account of £20 or £40 using your credit card.
Drive to the charging point that you wish to use using the directions provided if required and follow the simple instructions on the smartphone screen.

Free lifetime RFID Card: When you have registered, set up your account with a credit you will automatically be sent a FREE lifetime RFID card that may be used when you smartphone has poor coverage for example in an underground car park etc.

Use of website You may also set up your account, make credits, check locations and tariffs and also check your charging history and account balance on line at www.POLARinstant.com as well as on your smartphone app.

More to the point WHY can't they all take debit/credit cards like every other parking machine....
