I've got an old lpg tank, not too sure how to dispose of it? I ran it to empty but I suppose that's no guarantee it's completely empty.

Any guidance welcome, thanks smile

Leave it at the side of the road. It will be gone in the morning.

It may belong to the gas company. Check before moving.

Thanks for the responses, should have clarified it's a car LPG tank - thanks.

As soon as you have disconnected it- fill it with water to overflowing - that should ensure all gases have been expelled. then empty and take it to your local recycling centre for the metal bin?

Thanks Oilit, I hadn't considered the water - it's been disconnected for approx 6 years now but it's still sealed except the pipes.

Cheers,
