EV conversion kit companies/forums

I'm just doing some research for a book at the moment, I could do finding some companies offering kits and components to enthusiasts to do their own EV conversions. The issue I'm having is finding reliable trustworthy companies as a brief session on Google revealed lots of companies many of whom had the whif of fly by night wagon jumpers.

Also any good forums for home converters?
