Proper petrolhead review of the Model 3 Performance
Discussion
Running 18" wheels and winter tyres but I thought this summed up the car pretty very well. I do wonder whether he's driven a recent C-Class though as having had one for a couple of years previously I can confirm the interior is no better than the Tesla.

Just watched this. Good video, I agree about the interior but it's also not bad, just not 'premium'
he's a very good presenter, i discovered him on his recent Mclaren rantsthe interior is fine, no worse than what was in my AMG, some model 3 uber drivers have commented on how hard wearing it is
Audi it is not

Look at the Chris Harris interview after Top Gear this week on youtube linked to the Taycan review - he doesn't have a good word to say about Tesla as a drivers car. I understand where he's coming from
Harris unfortunately talks a lot of s
t and often contradicts himself, even his own review of the M3. He has done this forever, he slagged of the RS6 in his review. Audi let him spec one and run it for 6 months and then at a motor show he said it was the best car in the world. A week after handing it back it was no doubt s
t again lol.I think it really comes down to what mood he is in, what he has been driving recently, and what hes looking for in a car at that moment in time, he has always had a problem relating to that most owners dont buy cars to chuck around a track sideways, dont have his skill or push a car as hard as he does and put up with compromises for better daily driving.
Sure the M3 is not a porsche, its a fast road car, its not meant to be a track car. It would be 150k if it was a porsche track car.
And dont get me wrong, he is still by far my favourite auto journalist

His summary may as well have been written by Jeremy Clarkson though, Porsche is great, but look at how useless it is as a family car, its big on the outside, weighs 2.3 tons but can only carry 2 people, range is still rubbish, and you cannot charge it any where. Lets not even mention the price, if you have to ask you cannot afford it.Whilst on the topic of charging lets remind everyone why EVs are awful for the environment (it was 18 degrees C this week in Antarctica), just about managed to avoid talking about child labour in Lithium mines, and finish by confirming the EVs are essentially only good as compliance cars as been 'dangerous informative".
Whilst we all argue on here about pretty much pointless stuff the world is literally melting. I hope no one here lives any where near a flood zone or major water way, the last thing anyone should worry about right now is if a £100k Porsche is better than a £100k Tesla.

Yeah I was wrong, the irony of the melting ice packs in Antarctica is now China, Russia, US, pretty much everyone is on a bum fight to get there and start extracting oil. For the oil companies global warming may be the best thing to happen since the discovery of oil in the North Sea.Thatcher didn't spend all that effort fighting for the Falkland islands for national pride, the UK is actually very well placed in the rush for new oil.
Turkeys voting for Christmas sums up human civilisation right now, hard to see where its going to end

An owner cherry picking reviews to confirm their choice... who'd have thought it.
Thought it would be interesting as this guy is far more representative of the average PH'er and had very similar views on the car to many on this forum before driving it.I've been a Harris fan for years but consistency has never been his forte and the Top Gear gig has definitely not improved that. After the initial review of the M3P he stated he was buying one, and then a few weeks later stated he wasn't due to not being keen on other owners (which I found childish reasoning used to get attention) and now has nothing good to say about it whilst pointing out a Porsche costing 3 times the amount is the better drivers car? As you say, who'd have thought it?

I liked the review. But in my opinion, lack of driver's dash and ugly steering wheel are not acceptable in such an expensive car.
I’m ok with both, I think a lack of a 3sec 0-60 and woeful throttle response is unacceptable in such expensive cars :-)I am being facetious by the way
The interior and controls are funny, I had a real "oh, right" moment this morning after about half a year into Model S ownership:
I'm used to most things being on the screen, the only thing I really do on the wheel is music control (skip, volume) and dialing someone.
So I wanted to adjust my mirror, something I haven't done in months, went into the car menu on the big screen... not immediately visible. Hmmm.
Then it struck me that I had physical buttons on my arm rest, which I thought was quaint
. Completely unnecessary as I apparently only ever do it a couple times a year, but I remember so many TM3 reviewers saying "even the door mirrors have to be adjusted on the screen!".
I too have driven the I Pace and while it feels nice and premium for a car, the Model S feels like the future in comparison.
