I have a Nissan Leaf that I will be collecting in the next couple of weeks and I am looking at a charger, however most companies are quoting 4 weeks to get one fitted. Is there any potential issues (other that warranty and not knowing the condition) with just buying a second hand one and getting an electrician to fit it for me?

Only that it would probably be cheaper to get a new one fitted and take advantage of the grant towards the fitting costs.

Remember, you can charge from a 3 pin socket as well as long as you have the right cable and depending on the distance you travel daily, an overnight charge using that may well be enough.

I can’t seem to see any chargers for less than £379 with the grant, do you know of any cheaper ones?

Direct with Rolec, they put me in touch with their local fitters and it went from there.
